Who is the Commission?

Declaration of gift received by spouse of Public Office Holder

As required by section 25 of the Conflict of Interest Act , the following declaration is made: Pierre Richard, Q.C. spouse of the Commission's Chief Commissioner, Jennifer Lynch, Q.C. received a gift from the Canada Post Corporation on October 4, 2008; being two tickets to  the National Youth and Education Trust Gala, which invests in young Canadians through the performing arts. The cost per ticket $1,000 for a total of $2,000 as follows: for dinner, performance and parking: $189; the balance $811 per ticket being a donation made by Canada Post to the Trust. The President of the Canada Post Corporation, Ms. Moya Green, invited Mr. Richard to attend the event in his capacity as a Partner of Lang Michener, LLP.
