Pay Equity

SUBMISSION OF THE CHRC TO THE PAY EQUITY TASK FORCE

The submission of the Canadian Human Rights Commission to the federal Pay Equity Task Force was prepared by Policy and International Program Branch. The Task Force, established by the Ministers of Justice and Labour, reviewed section 11 of the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Equal Wages Guidelines, 1986. The Task Force issued a report entitled Pay Equity: A New Approach to a Fundamental Right  with recommendations for how federal pay equity provisions can be improved.
