Invitation to the Canadian Human Rights Commission free Webinar Series

Building Bridges Between Cultures

On May 31, 2016, we will present a webinar on building bridges between cultures. Join us for a special recorded webinar dealing with a current topic—welcoming Syrian refugees to Canada. During this session we explore the benefits of integration of new Canadians and discover:

  • tips on building bridges, breaking barriers and facilitating integration of newcomers to Canada;
  • definition and consequences of islamophobia;
  • ways to eliminate fear of differences;
  • challenges and obstacles new Canadians face; and
  • tools to help integration and inclusion.

Opening remarks for this webinar are provided by the Canadian Human Rights Commission’s Chief Commissioner, Marie-Claude Landry, and we are joined by our special guest, Shahina Siddiqui, President of the Islamic Social Services Association.
