Are there security concerns regarding section 13?
Yes. The Commission is mindful of the safety and security implications of its section 13 work. As an employer it is obliged to ensure safety and security of its workforce.
Matters found to contravene section 13
This section consists of links to decisions of the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal. These decisions include copies and/or excerpts of the actual materials that the Tribunal has found to be "hate messages" in the meaning of section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act because they constitute
"... matter that is likely to expose a person or persons to hatred or contempt by reason of the fact that person or those persons are identifiable on the basis of a prohibited ground of discrimination."
