Follow-up Report to the CHRC on the Human Rights of the Innu of Labrador
This report is the second follow-up study after the original 1993 investigation. Following a meeting in Ottawa in April 2018 and two others in Sheshatshiu in March and June 2019, the CHRC commissioned Celeste McKay Consulting Inc. and Professor Donald McRae (author of the 1993 Report, and co-author of the 2002 Report) to carry out follow-up research. This report presents an overview of the status of the implementation of the 1993 and 2002 Reports, and looks at more recent developments and their implications for the human rights of the Innu Nation.
