Canadian Human Rights Commission – News Conference

Ottawa, Ontario – CNW, February 27, 2019 – On Thursday, February 28th, the Chief Commissioner of the Canadian Human Rights Commission and the Correctional Investigator of Canada will hold a joint news conference to release their report on the experiences of older individuals in federal custody.
The joint report highlights the challenges associated with older individuals in federal prison including management of chronic health conditions, accessibility and accommodation of disability, institutionalization, reintegration barriers, end-of-life care and dying with dignity in prison.
